Central Park New York City

I love New York City!  It is one of my favorite cities.  My brother lived on the upper west side for many years so I always had a place to stay and tour guide of the city.   I have been there so many times, I know my way around the city very well.  I always find my way to Central Park for a walk or run.  The above photo I took on a bright and sunny winter day in January.  You are looking at the upper west side along Central Park West.  The ice is frozen on the pond and the skaters are out having a great time.  I was lucky to snap the photo before any one got in my photo.  In the  fall I love to walk the many paths that weave in and around the park.  I can always find somewhere to sit with my camera, taking photos of the scenery and relax with a coffee and admire the architecture  of the century old buildings that line this great park.

What is your favorite city to visit and what do you like to do when visiting?

Take a look at this short three minute You Tube video of Central Park with views of the iconic New York skyline.

  1. I love New York City too. the first time I was there I could feel a pulsating energy like no where else I've ever been. I loved Houston for its variety but it can't hold a candle to NYC. I am looking forward to getting lost in the art at MOMA again soon or in an emotional visit to the 9/11 memorial. Next spring when I don't have class I hope!

  2. I love NYC!! I used to live there before 9/11 and now when I go back it is not the same. I do love the museums and just walking around in the city capturing everything it has to offer. I am looking forward to the tree lighting and ice skating in Rockefeller Center.
